Topics To Talk About In a Relationship When You Don’t Know What Else To Do

After some time spent together, partners in relationship can feel bored or stuck in their daily habits and couple routines. If you feel the same in your relationship and if you have talked about this with your partner but don’t know to get out of this enchanted circle, it doesn’t mean that you don’t love each other. This may happen because of many reasons; you two were too busy to have private life, or something important or unpleasant happened in your families so you had to put that as a priority. Or, you simply feel bored and don’t have any ideas on making your relationship funnier or more fulfilled. Instead of drowning in overthinking and worry, talk with your partner. Here are some simple topics that can motivate you to think of the things that you both dreamed of once, but have lost the track.

  1. Common goals

Talk about your common goals. You don’t have to talk about having children, buying a house or travelling even you don’t have a budget for that at the given moment. Talk about small things, such as making that poster you were talking about or making crafts together.

  1. Comedy shows and favorite movies

Comedy shows or movies are always an amusing topic. No matter the movies you’ve watched together, there’s a chance that someone of you two missed to mention a really funny movie.

  1. Personal points of view

Talk about things in life, or politics, economics, science or literature. You can talk about things that matter and things that are important to you. It’s healthy to have deeper and profound conversations in your relationship. This way, you can always learn something new from or about your partner and can see them gradually changing (maturing) as you spend more time together.

  1. Friends

It’s not really about gossiping about your friends, but more about whom do you like or you don’t. Do you think that some of your friends aren’t completely sincere with both of you or maybe you have a friend that needs support and help, so you can think of ways to help them? Talk about friends that inspire you and how you can learn from them.

  1. Funny and proud moments

Talk about the funniest and most proud moments of your relationship. It will bring you laughs and tears, and what’s best to do together if not share emotions?

What do you think?
