Foods That You Can Eat A Lot Without Gaining Weight

Being on a diet doesn’t mean that you should starve. On contrary, most of the quality diet and healthy eating experts tell their patients and clients that they should eat until they feel full. Well, that’s fine, but eating the foods that only add to your weight and that in unlimited amounts won’t help you to reach your imagined looks.

What’s the common place where you can connect your hunger and appetite and your goal weight? It’s in the healthy foods that you haven’t been eating because you didn’t have a person to help you choose the right ones.

Here is a short menu with foods that you can eat without gaining weight and foods that will give you a feel of satiety.

Boiled potatoes

Although high in carbohydrates, you shouldn’t restrict yourself from eating potatoes. Actually, they contain a type of starch that is called the resistant starch that has half of the calories found in the regular, basic starch. Plus, potatoes are rich in important vitamins and fiber, which keep you full for longer time. If you’re counting your calories, you can combine boiled potatoes with other foods or spices, if you lack flavor.

Eggs

Eggs are healthy and that horror story about all the cholesterol and the how bad they affect your health should be forgotten. Eggs are a great source of protein and are really important in the diet of vegetarians (if you feel guilty for consuming eggs, buy only from trustful farm owners who treat their animals humanly and right). According to research, people who eat eggs for breakfast feel full for longer and eat less during the rest of the day.

Oats

Oats are rich in fiber and cooking this food for breakfast when you’re dieting is one of the best choices that you can make. Hot oats or oatmeal (oats cooked in milk or water and other additions such as cocoa powder, coconut flakes and fresh fruit) are one of the best sources of beta-glucan, a fiber that slows down digestion and the absorption of carbohydrates.

Legumes

Lentils (regular or red), chickpeas, beans and peas are also a great source of protein and fiber, the nutrients that you need the most when dieting. These foods are filling and can help you in your weight loss goals because they are low in calories.
